Great update, It almost seems too good to be true. I'll only believe it when I try it for myself.

Now all Anet has to do is fix HA and I'm done QQing.

Also, <3 this news. I hate err7's, though it's generally not me having the problem. This'll make things better, and it's been nicely balanced, too. When disconnected, your character doesn't leave, it's essentially like an AFK thing waiting for you to reconnect. 10 minutes later, if there's still no connection, it logs out. Nice one.

As for party forming, I try not to PuG, so meh.

I wouldn't doubt that many many many guilds (including my own) lose quite a bit of rating due to "technical difficulties" over the course of a season. This is a huge, huge improvement to the quality of GvG play to me. I no longer have to worry about gimping my team when I go in GvG with a less than perfect connection... I used to sit out and be replaced by a guest during particularly bad err7 fests (too many counterstrike nubs on my uni network), but no longer!

Loving this. Hopefull there will be nothing wrong with reconnects that dramatically affects gvg, I understand the AFK rig with it... just anxious about reconnects finally coming, and hoping that they're not messed up in some other way that we've not thought about yet.

Party formation... not something I've been waiting for but sounds like a really interesting feature.

The important question for me at this stage is whether it will be possible to reconnect to an instance that you were still loading. In my experience, the majority of server-side error 7s occur when loading a map, not when actually connected to an instance.

^ Yeah, that is a pretty important thing. The majority of my err7's happen after waiting for ~60 seconds at a 0% "Connecting..." screen.

This is awesome, now if I get disconnected on a long run of the elite missions I can rejoin and still get those cool rewards at the end. I an not sure what all you pvp people are excited about though.

I've seen at least some of them on 4chan etc for ages. The "You're doing it wrong" ones ain't exactely original content.

On topic though, great stuff. I think reconnects definitely take the cake for best improvement ever omgz. I can see it alleviating a lot of frustration from the game and the LFG system is something that even Blizzard never bothered to implement in WoW, so it's great to see Anet going for it.
